The legal and judicial communities of Cumberland County came together on December 21, 2016 at the Old Cumberland County Courthouse for a panel discussion and celebration breakfast. The event was an opportunity for all current and former district court judges to celebrate and reflect with their community on the achievements of the Judicial Branch and district courts over the past 50 years. The Fayetteville Observer covered the event with an article and photos that can be found on their website.
The event began with welcoming remarks by Chief District Court Judge Robert J. Stiehl. Following breakfast, former Chief District Court Judge Elizabeth Keever and Judge Edward A. Pone opened the ceremony. The event also included a panel of more than 25 judges and individuals discussing the history of the courts.
