Judge Tyson shared about the Court of Appeals 50th Anniversary, his thoughts on how a judge should approach the rule of the law, and the proper understanding of majority rule while protecting the rights of the minority. Judge Tyson was elected to his current seat on the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2014. Prior to that, Judge Tyson served on the Court from 2000-2008, and served as a recall judge on the Court of Appeals and an emergency North Carolina superior court judge.  In addition, Judge Tyson serves as an adjunct professor at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.
