Justice Ervin speaking to 150 students at McDowell High School

Supreme Court Justice Sam Ervin IV spoke to school groups and Bar members in advance of the Supreme Court of North Carolina's traveling sessions in May 2018. The traveling sessions are being held in part to celebrate the Court's historic 200th anniversary in 2019.

Justice Sam Ervin IV spoke to the members of the 28th Judicial District Bar in Buncombe County on Wednesday, April 11th at a monthly luncheon. He invited attorneys to sign up to become a speaker to help raise awareness about the role and importance of the North Carolina Judicial Branch as part of our ongoing civics education efforts.

In addition, Justice Ervin spoke to various university, college and public school groups in Western North Carolina. On April 10 and 11, he spoke to students at UNC-A, Asheville Buncombe Technical College, and 150 McDowell High School students from classes in civics and economics, law and justice, and the Rho Kappa Honor Society.
