The North Carolina Bar Association profiled Wake County Chief District Court Judge Robert Rader in the recent article NC Courts Celebration Finds A Champion in Judge Robert Rader written by Russel Rawlings, Director of Communications for the North Carolina Bar Association. In the article, Rawlings writes about Judge Rader's dedication to the court system, his commitment to historic preservation, his leadership role in the district court's 50th Anniversary celebrations, and Judge Rader's childhood in Morganton, NC.
"Most of these people (district court judges) don't seek out the spotlight; they do what they do because they're dedicated to the work and the administration of justice. They're really more focused on doing the work and doing a good job as judge instead of the politics of it, which most of them don't like," said Judge Rader.
Rawlings noted, "In describing his fellow district court judges and their reluctance to engage in a celebration that would draw attention to themselves, Robert Rader could have just as easily been describing himself."
