On Wednesday, December 14, the Judicial Branch hosted 30 students from Rolesville High School in Wake County as part of a civic education initiative launched by Mark Martin, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. Court of Appeals Judge Chris Dillon and Supreme Court Clerk Bryan Boyd gave remarks and engaged with students during a question and answer period. The remarks and questions covered a variety of legal and court-related topics that included the history of the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the structure of the North Carolina Judicial Branch, and the process of how to become a judge.
