LEXINGTON, N.C. — In 1966, the North Carolina Judicial Branch came together as a unified system and established the District Court, the Court of Appeals, and the Administrative Office of the Courts. To celebrate the achievements of the N.C. Judicial Branch over the past 50 years, the District Courts of Cleveland and Lincoln Counties will be hosting a 50th Anniversary celebration.

WHAT: Private dinner, presentation of District Court banner, and election of District Bar Councilor

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m.

WHERE: Old Laboratory Mill, 848 Southfork Rd., Lincolnton, NC

The dinner is by invitation only, but the media are welcome to attend. The 50th Anniversary of the District Courts will be celebrated in each county throughout this milestone year, bringing together key court system stakeholders and its citizens.
